Ramgarh: Four die in multiple collisions on highway
Ramgarh: At least four persons died and close to half a dozen sustained grievous injuries following collision among multiple vehicles near Patel chowk on NH-33 in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district on Tuesday. Chief minister Hemant Soren, former CM Raghubar Das among others expressed their condolences to the bereaved families.
According to information, a heavy vehicle first lost control and hit two cars, and went on to hit a biker and another car before it overturned near a petrol pump.
Ramgarh police confirmed deaths of four persons but apprehended that the toll may increase. On the other hand, injured have been rushed to local hospital and are undergoing treatment. The mishap led to four hour traffic jam in the area.
Expressing his condolences, chief minister on twitter wrote: “Deeply shocked by the incident. I pray to god to give strengthen to the bereaved families and pray for quick recovery of the injured.” Ex-CM Raghubar Das too offered his condolences and appealed local administration to ensure proper treatment to the injured.
