Ritika Sahay bags Kitchen Queen title for Tandoori litti

Ranchi: The first edition of Kitchen Queen-2022 organised by Patrakar Kala Manch (PKM), a registered body of journalists, in association with Genista INN Hotel and Engine Oil on September 17 received stupendous success. 
Ritika Sahay (tandoori litti) won the contest title whereas Ranjeeta Rathore (Jharkhand ki thali) and Alka Mishra (chat-pat dahi bara and onion kheer) remained first and second runners up respectively.

Mandar MLA Shilpa Neha Tirkey presented awards to the winners. Ranchi mayor Asha Lakra, Ranchi Press Club president Sanjay Mishra among others were present as special guests. 
The event was judged by a three member jury including Dr Bhupesh Kumar, principal of IHM, chef Alka Oraon, assistant professor of department of hotel management at RKDF university and chief chef of Genista Inn, Hanif Khan.

A total of 20 contestants, who were enrolled for the event, exhibited wide array of cuisines and dishes. Some focussed on innovation, others fusion while some stressed on authentic dishes. Mandar MLA, who also took part in the tasting ceremony appreciated the event and efforts by PKM. Mayor too hailed the event. The event was part of PKM outfit’s continuous endeavours to provide platform for scribes as well as their family members in the city to showcase their untapped talents through different activities.
