Jharkhand BJP plans Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi at 506 temples on Monday

Ranchi: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor in Varanasi on Monday at 1 pm, the proceedings will be screened live in over 500 temples in Jharkhand too. For, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state has decided to celebrate the occasion in grand fashion by hosting special puja and screening the inauguration in at least one key temple across its 506 mandals.

Informing it on Sunday, party’s general secretary Balmukund Sahay in a statement said, “We will be celebrate the day as Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi by organizing puja in at least one temple in each of our 506 mandal. We will also try to screen the proceedings when PM will inaugurate it. All sants, mahants, sadhus and commoners will be part of the proceedings at temples here tomorrow in accordance with covid-19 norms.”

As per the communiqué from BJP, MLAs of Ranchi and Hatia, CP Singh and Naveen Jaiswal respectively will be at Vishvanath temple in Piska More. Kanke MLA Samri Lal will be in Misir Gonda. “Similarly, other prominent members of the party will be present at some or the other places,” said the party.

Modi will inaugurate the phase one of the project built at a cost of Rs 339 crore tomorrow at 1 pm as part of his two-day visit to Varanasi. According to details shared by PIB, the foundation stone of the project was laid by PM on March 8, 2019. The project was designed to provide easy access for the disabled and old age people with provision of ramps, escalators, and other modern facilities.

A total of 23 buildings will be inaugurated in the phase 1 of the project. They will provide a variety of facilities to the pilgrims visiting Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, including Yatri Suvidha Kendras, Tourist Facilitation Centre, Vedic Kendra, Mumukshu Bhavan, Bhogshala, City Museum, Viewing Gallery, Food Court, among others.

The scale of the project was such that the project is now spread over a massive area of about 5 lakh square feet,  whereas earlier premises was limited to just around 3000 square feet. Despite the Covid pandemic, the work on the project has been completed as per the planned schedule.

During his visit to Varanasi, PM will also visit Kaal Bhairav Temple at around noon and witness Ganga Aarti while on board a Ro-Ro Vessel at around 6 PM on. On 14 December, at around 3:30 PM, he will attend the 98th anniversary celebrations of Sadguru Sadafaldeo Vihangam Yog Sansthan at Swarved Mahamandir in Varanasi.
