Ranchi students pictorial ode to Lata Mangeshkar
Ranchi: Students of Army Public School in Ranchi sketched the portrait of legendary signer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, who left for heavenly abode on Sunday (February 6) after prolonged illness at the age of 92. Her demise sent shock waves across the country including Jharkhand among people across different generations.
On Monday, Army Public School students decide to pay pictorial ode to the singer, also known as Lata Didi among her fans. Principal Abhay Kumar Singh said that the students were being trained by Md Sabir Hussain, who is employed as arts teacher in the school.
“Lata Mangeshkar left a deep imprint among crores of music lovers across the globe through her songs. Be it kids, youths or elder, her voice touched everyone across generations and through many decades. Therefore, our students decided to pay special tribute through their sketches,” he said.
