Breaking: Further unlock in Jharkhand, shops, bars to open beyond 8 pm
Ranchi: Jharkhand government on Friday announced further relaxations in covid-19 induced restricts as part of which all business establishments can now run beyond 8pm, paved its nod for full reopening of tourist spots, parks and the likes. It also allowed reopening of all schools fully from March 7. During last meeting, state had barred reopening of schools below class 9 in seven districts including Ranchi, East Singhbhu and Bokaro, in view of heavy active caseload.
Chief minister Hemant Soren with state disaster management department minister Banna Gupta held a meeting of the state disaster management authority (SDMA) in the afternoon at assembly building after which decision in regard to total unlock has been taken in the state. Till the time of filing this report, state is still to issue official notification but sources said that there will be bar on processions, and julus to prevent gathering but turnout cap at marriages have been increased to 500 from existing 200.
Officials said that the decision for total unlock was taken in the wake of gradual dip in covid-19 cases in the state.
