CCL wins Coal Minister’s Award 2021-22 in safety & Sustainability
Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited, a Jharkhand- based subsidiary of Coal India Limited, bagged safety and sustainability category award at Coal Minister’s Award -2021-22 during a mega function in New Delhi on Thursday.
Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi handed trophy to CMD, CCL P M Prasad in presence of Coal Secretary Anil Kumar Jain, CIL Chairman Pramod Agarwal and other dignitaries.
General Manager of Dhori Area Manoj Kumar Agarwal and Magadh- Sanghmitra Area K K Sinha of the company were also awarded on this occasion for their outstanding performance.
CCCL was awarded second prize in the safety and third prize in sustainability for outstanding performance.
CMD, CCL said that this award is a testimony of their deep commitment towards safety, sustainable and eco-friendly mining, which is at the core of our mining operations. He said, “The award is the result of the dedicated and committed teamwork of our employees and management, coupled with the some best practices being followed in the company. Safety in operations is of paramount importance and we are committed to ensure an accident free workplace at CCL.”
CMD said that CCL is committed to fulfil the vision of AtmaNirbhar Bharat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further expressed his gratitude to Coal Secretary and Coal India Chairman for their guidance.
In previous fiscal 2021-22, the company has recorded the highest production and dispatch since its inception of 68.8 MT and 71.8 MT.
