Covid: Prohibitory orders imposed around hotels, picnic spots with riders

Dhanbad: District administration has announced to clamp section 144 (prohibitory orders) under Crpc from December 30 midnight in the wake of rising covid-19 cases. It will be in force till 2 am on January 2, 2022.

Officials however clarified that the prohibitory orders have been issued with certain restrictions and that it doesn’t bar anyone from movement.

A statement issued from the IPRD department of Dhanbad said that the orders will be in force in Dhanbad sub-divisional area.

“The orders will be in force at picnic spots, hotels, malls, restaurants and other spots where crowd is expected in view of year end and new year revelry. Under this order, at all such places, use of masks, complete compliance of social distancing norms, use of sanitsers are compulsory,” explained the communiqué.

It also added that all such entities expecting crowd must adhere to the orders and also ensure that district administration is informed in case of detection of any covid positive person or someone who came in contact with any infected persons. 

Active cases of covid-19 cases in Dhanbad have inched close to 60 with more than half coming in last couple of days.
