Ranchi: Chief minister Hemant Soren will lay foundation stone for second plant of Dalmia cement in Bokaro on Monday. The two MTPA plant will come up in Balidih, next to the existing plant owned and run by the cement major. State government inked an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dalmia cement at an investors’ meet held in Delhi earlier this year. The investments are likely to generate 20,000 direct and about 1.5 lakh indirect employments after they turn into reality.

While the state government signed the deal with worth Rs 758 crore for a cement plant, solar plant and solid waste plant, it also inked deals with Adhunik Power worth Rs 1900 crore for its expansion, Prem Ruber Works pvt ltd worth Rs 50 crore and SAIL promised to invest Rs 4,000 crore. Tata Steel also signed MoU in tune of Rs 3000 crore in next three years.
