Jharkhand: From Jaipur, Congress to begin war against Modi government on price hike
Ranchi: All four state cabinet ministers, over a dozen MLAs and several hundreds of workers from Jharkhand Congress have reached Jaipur on Saturday to attend All India Congress Committee (AICC)’s maha-rally on price rise and to press for Rs 4 lakh compensation to kin of covid-19 victims. The rally is being led by AICC’s bigwigs—Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, said party officials. Those who will be part of the rally include state party president Rajesh Thakur, ministers—Rameshwar Oraon, Alamgir Alam, Badal Patralekh and Banna Gupta—besides numerous party workers.
A senior party worker, Alok Dubey in a statement informed that the rally will be held at Vidhyanagar stadium in Jaipur. He said, “The rally will mark Congress’s renewed fight against BJP led government in the Centre which since coming to power in 2014 has been unleashing numerous atrocities on public. Price hike is one such that has rattled the entire country.”
On the other hand, in a video-statement, Thakur said that Congress has been at the forefront of fight against Modi government on public issues be it at the state or at Central level. “This rally will make the downfall of Modi government,” he said.
