Jharkhand lockdown: Schools reopened in 17 districts, parks, gyms allowed in state. Read details

Ranchi: Announcing relaxations in the ongoing partial lockdown in Jharkhand in the wake of covid-19 pandemic, state government on Monday announced reopen schools in graded manner. The government has also provided other restrictions: Here are the key points: 

  • All classes from 1-12 will be opened in 17 district while in remaining 7 districts offline classes will only be for class 9-12. Colleges too are allowed to open in all the districts. But 7 districts namely: Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Bokaro, Chatra, Deoghar, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Simdega, offline classes will only be from 9-12 in schools
  • Exams will be held both online and offline mode wherever applicable
  • Gyms, parks, zoos, stadiums have been allowed to open across the state with certain riders. No entry to spectators in stadiums
  • Market restrictions till 8pm however will continue
  • Government offices to function with 100 percent attendance
  • Only 200 people gathering allowed for marriages
