Ranchi: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Monday chaired a meeting of the state disaster management department to take stock of covid-19 situation in the state after which government has decided to impose slew of curbs to control the spread of the virus. As per the details issued by state IPRD department later in the day, here are things that will be closed/restricted till January 15:-
All parks, swimming pools, gyms, zoos, tourist spots, stadiums to be closed till Jan 15
All kinds of educational institutes to be closed till Jan 15 but administrative works can happen with 50 percent capacity
Cinema halls, restaurants, bars, shopping malls to allow 50 percent of their capacity
Bars, medical shops and bars to function till their normal time while all other shops to close at 8 pm
Not more than 100 people for outdoor events
Indoor activities/events can take place with 50 percent capacity or maximum 100 people, whichever is less
Government and private offices to function with 50 percent capacity and ban on biometric attendance
Chief minister also directed officials to strengthen essential services so that there is no crisis or panic situation in the state. He said, “All districts must be on alert mode in the wake of rising cases by increasing testing, tracking and other modalities to contain the spread of the virus. All covid care hospitals must be fully equipped to tackle any crisis.”
