Partial lockdown extended in Jharkhand till Jan 31
Ranchi: Jharkhand government on Saturday announced to extend the ongoing ‘partial lockdown’ till the end of this month stating that decision on further curbs will be taken after reviewing the covid situation in the state.
State disaster management department minister Banna Gupta in the evening announced it through a tweet. He said, “The current restrictions and regulations announced to curb covid-19 in the state has been extended till January 31.”
In the fag end of December, 2021, state government announced to close all education institutes, parks, tourist spots, gyms, zoos, stadiums to be closed till Jan 15. It had allowed administrative works in educational institutes with 50 percent capacity. Also, cinema halls, restaurants, bars, shopping malls to allow 50 percent of their capacity while markets except the essentials are directed to close by 8pm.
For outdoor events, not more than 100 people for outdoor events are allowed and for indoor activities/events, it is permitted with 50 percent capacity or maximum 100 people, whichever is less.
