Raghubar calls for J’khand CM’s resignation alleging ‘conflict of interest’

Ranchi: Ex-CM and BJP’s national vice president Raghubar Das has alleged that Hemant Soren, who is leading a coalition government in Jharkhand, of misusing his official position as the chief minister to get a stone mining lease in Ranchi.

Addressing a press conference at party office in Harmu on Thursday, Das claimed that Soren has received mining lease in capital’s Angara block after becoming the CM and that he was trying to get the lease for this site since 2008.

“While Hemant Soren was eyeing for stone mining lease in that area since 2008 and applied for it, the required clearances from mining department and environment nod was only received last year. He became CM in 2019 and both the portfolio of mining and forest & environment is with him,” he said, producing papers during the press meet to substantiate his claims.

“He misused his official position and it amounts to clash of interest and corruption by someone holding public office. He must step down immediately,” he charged.
