Ranchi: On CCL’s foundation day, over 900 gets promotion

Ranchi: More than 900 non-executives of Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) were promoted on Monday to mark the 47th Foundation Day of Coal India Limited. Every year, the coal major’s foundation day is celebrated at Central Coalfields Limited, Darbhanga House, Ranchi and across the operational areas including hospital on November 1.

CMD, CCL PM Prasad attended a function at Coal India Ltd headquarters in Kolkata. At CCL HQ Ranchi, Director (personal), CCL P.V.K.R. Mallikarjuna Rao paid floral tributes to the martyred coal warriors at Shaheed Smarak along with other officials.

Rao said that Coal India Limited along with its subsidiaries is committed to contribute in the development of the nation. He expressed his gratitude to the company’s worker and said that even during the covid-19 pandemic, the workers ensured that there was no dearth of coal for the power plants in country.

Promotion orders to over 900 employees across CCL were issued on the occasion. CCL was also awarded by Coal India Limited for its exemplary work. Rao also handed over promotion letter to 36 para-medical staff including physiotherapist, OT assistants etc.

The company received first prize in safety category and second in Corporate Social Responsibility amongst all the subsidiaries of Coal India in a program organized at CCL HQ, Kolkata.
