Ranchi: Usha Martin Foundation renovates school on Angara block

Ranchi: Usha Martin Foundation renovated a school in Masu village under Anagara block in Ranchi. Usha Martin’s director D Bhowmik while addressing a function organized to unveil the revamped facilities of the school assured to extend all possible assistance to the local village youths in their future endeavours. 

“Hope for India is visible in the village. The role of villages is important in the development of the country. Therefore, a roadmap for the overall development of the villages should be made. The children of the village have multifaceted talents, which cannot progress without proper guidance and support. Such children will be supported by the foundation,” he said.

He also underlined the importance of inspirational films. “There is a need to show inspirational films to inculcate the spirit of patriotism in the children. Along with education in the village, there is a need to connect the youth with job-oriented training. Continuous efforts are being made by the company in this direction,” he said.

On this occasion, company’s HR chief N.N Jha said that the true nature of the country is visible only after coming to the village.

“There is culture in the village. People in the village have the urge to do good and have the ability to lead the country. An integrated program is being run by the foundation for the overall development of the villages,” he said.

Foundation secretary Mayank Murari talked about other initiatives taken by the foundation for the development of the village.

“In Masu village, continuous programs are being organized for production of mushroom and cash crop besides tailoring and fashion designing, drip irrigation, well construction along with a healthy village,” he said.

Mukhiya Sheela Devi added that due to the efforts of the company, enthusiasm among the children of the village and the desire for employment among the youth has increased.

Principal Anju Purti said: “The number of students coming to the school has increased due to the construction of the building.”

Dr Rajesh informed about the work done in the field of health in the last one year. School teachers Rakeshji, progressive farmers of the village Dhanraj, Premnath, Raso Devi and Mulu Mahto besides others also expressed their views. On this occasion, besides Sachindra Kumar, Rana Vikas, Shishir Kumar, Monit Butkumar, Roshan Linda, hundreds of school students and villagers were present.
