SAIL, Siemens tie-up for tech training

Ranchi: Steel Authority of India Limited, Management Training Institute (SAIL, MTI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with automation giant M/s Siemens on Monday for technical training on electrical, automation and industry 4.0 related areas. Kamakshi Raman, executive director, HRD, SAIL, B Roy, vice president digital enterprise services, Siemens and Deepak Malhotra, GM (business administrator), Siemens signed the MoU on virtual meeting platform maintaining the existing social distancing norms.

The MoU will help in enhancing the operational efficiency of SAIL Plants and units on a continuous basis and will facilitate excellent maintenance of equipment and machinery, stated a communiqué from SAIL.

Speaking on this occasion, Roy expressed his pleasure in the more than a decade long collaboration with SAIL in fostering technical excellence. Raman endorsed her confidence in the MoU and expressed that virtual training component of the MoU will ensure maintaining continuity of technical learning in SAIL.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by P Shaw, CGM( HRD), Sachin Bhanushali, head (Sitrain), Siemens and heads of training of SAIL plants at BSL, BSP, DSP, ISP and RSP.
