Tributes paid to Pulwama martyrs
Deoghar: On the occasion of the third anniversary of Pulwama terror attack on Monday, the eco club of Takshashila Vidyapith School in Deoghar planted saplings in memory of martyrs to pay tributes to those who laid their lives safeguarding the country.
School’s managing director Krishna Nand Jha and principal Yogita Bajpai led the commemoration programme.
“A special tree plantation drive was held on the occasion. Principal Yogita Bajpai planted various saplings of neem tree (Azadirechta Indica) at the principal’s residence and in the school ground. The names of the trees were kept on the names of the 6 martyrs who lost their lives on the fateful day,” said the school management in a statement.
In Ranchi too, many paid their tributes to the martyred souls. Chief minister Hemant Soren in a tweet said, “I bow before on the occasion Pulwama martyrs day today in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the country.”
Rashtriya Yuva Shakit, a social outfit too offered their tributes to the martyrs at a programme in Ranchi during which widows of two martyred lit the lamp in memory of the departed souls.
