War room set up at Dhanbad court
Dhanbad: In the wake of rising cases of covid-19, the district legal services authority (DLSA) and local administration have jointly set up a war room at the district court in Dhanbad to provide medical and other assistance to covid positive persons.
Authorities have notified two helpline numbers—8674929929 and 8271271165 on which a needy can contact to seek assistance. The war room will be functional from 8 am to 10pm.
District judge and chairman of DLSA Ram Sharma, who launched the facility, said that the war room has been set up following directives from the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA) to all its district affiliates.
“The war room will be manned by doctors appointed by the civil surgeon for providing medical assistance to the callers in case of need. There will also be para-legal volunteers, para medical staffs among others,” said an official, adding that those doctors available at the war room will prescribe medicines and other assistance to help covid +ve person.
Sharma on the other hand maintained that the war room will also work towards helping people with admission in hospitals, medicines, oxygen supply requirements among others as per the need. The war room will also provide free medicines to those who can’t afford to purchase them.
