India-NZ: JSCA announces ticket rates for T20 tie in Ranchi

Ranchi: Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) on Monday announced the rates of tickets for upcoming India-New Zealand T20 match on November 19 in Ranchi as part of which visitors will have to pay minimum of Rs 900 and maximum Rs 9000 per ticket. Other variants of tickets include Rs 1200, Rs 1400, Rs 1700, Rs 1800, Rs 4000, Rs 5000 and Rs 5500.

JSCA secretary Sanjay Singh in a statement said that the match will be conducted under strict adherence to covid-19 protocol prescribed by state government as well as the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI).

“Only fully vaccinated persons or those who test negative for covid through RTPCR on or after November 15 will be allowed entry for the match,” he said. “People will have to exhibit vaccination or covid test certificate at entry gates. No one will be allowed to carry anything inside the stadium and seating will be based on the number mentioned on the ticket,” he added.

Sale of tickets is likely from November 15. “We have proposed three days from November 15 to begin ticket sales and sent a proposal to district administration for its consent. Formal announcement will be made after it,” he said, adding that passes for JSCA members will be distributed on November 14 and 15.

The state government has permitted the match only with 50 percent capacity at the stadium. Ranchi is hosting one of the three T20 matches between India and New Zealand. Jaipur will host the first T20 on November 17, Kolkata will hold third match on November 21. Two test matches will be played in Kanpur and Mumbai between Nov 25-29 and Dec 3-7 respectively.
